Pender Island
North and South Pender Island are separated by a dredged narrow canal and joined together by a one lane bridge.
South Pender Island is more remote than North Pender although North Pender is pretty remote itself! There’s not a lot of shopping on the island, just the occasional thrift store and good organic free-trade coffee and home-made pastries at small local cafes.
