Experiencing a pristine jungle is adventurous, exciting and unforgettable! What's even better? Your stay at ACES helps save highly vulnerable Crocodilians and includes unlimited crocodile viewing. Get involved and participate with any of ACES's ongoing research projects, which may include night eye-shine surveys by boat; croc captures for tag and release; or even possibly a crocodile rescue. All expenses are allocated 100% to preserving species through research and education.

Surrounded by thousands of acres of Protected Lands, ACES is in the heart of a Neo-Tropical Rainforest.  Protecting vulnerable species particularly the American Crocodile, Crocodylus acutus, and located on the Rio Grande River in southern Belize, ACES is less than one mile by boat to the Bay of Honduras and the pristine waters of the Caribbean.

Operating entirely on solar and wind power generation, ACES's is truly a paradise that was hand carved out of raw jungle. With minimal impact to the environment, this now 36 acre crocodile sanctuary and private wildlife reserve offers the adventuresome a unique opportunity to explore the wild-side of Belize in a safe and comfortable environment. During your stay at ACES you will see and learn about Belize's immense bio-diversity while having the chance to participate in the collection of scientific data pertinent to crocodile conservation.

Meet George and Debbie, two American Crocodiles rescued by ACES in the summer of 2008. Both crocs were the victims of being fed illegally by humans as a tourist attraction on Ambergris Caye. Because of their size and conditioned, lack of fear for humans, these magnificent wild creatures remain in captivity with death being their only alternative. Crocs such as these cannot be re-released into the wild for they are now a threat to humans where ever they are; in addition, crocodiles are known to travel hundreds of miles and even cross land to return to their home. This photo was taken at ACES where the crocs seem at home.
