Ms. Travellious Travel Advice

Q: Hi... I have a boutique hotel in Vancouver and things are tough! I’ve stretched my budget and need some help – any suggestions? - Dave
A: I’m sorry to hear that you are being affected by a downturn in tourism in Vancouver.  The first thing you should do is phone all the business that are coming into your hotel for the next 12 months is already booked and reserved especially if it’s in rooms of two or more for their stay more than two nights just let them know that you’re in any renovations are updates that you’ve done is to say he could do to help them with their travel plans. read more +

Q: Im going on a 3 night getaway with 3 other girlfriends. I don’t want to offend them but how to get across who   pays what? Usually I end up having to foot the bill and chase them for their part, sometimes I still haven’t been paid back. My friends are important to me but I feel taken advantage of. Any suggestions?
A: This is actually a very common question and I have met many women for my travels that have actually lost a lot of friendships are the very same reason of simply used in the pay and whose not paying.  My suggestion to you is to go and vote and all-inclusive stay and have the entire state included in one price.  Prior to leaving phone the hotel or phone the place you're going and pay for only your placement, let the hotel know that the other guests will be phoning on their own with their own credit cards and all charges should be separate. read more +

Q: I'm going away on a vacation with my job and most of my friends think I'm really lucky because my boss is paid for all of his executives to go to Jamaica for three nights.  I'm happy to be going but I'm really worried about what I'll wear at the beach everybody else seems to become for with their body but for me my hips are really baked and I'm super paranoid almost to the point where I don't want to go and I'm ready to decline the offer.  This could affect my job and I do really want to go.  Can you help me? - Lynn
A: I completely understand what you're saying and there are many things that you can do so that nobody will even know you have this fear.  The first thing I recommend is take your time and go out and buy a very sheer row.  Make sure the rap fit around your body at least once or twice and can easily tie.  Also when you buy the rap make sure it's a very sheer fabric so if you get it wet in the fun it'll dry instantly. read more +
